For Organizations: Sign Up
CorporateProBono.Org connects organizations like yours with
the corporate lawyers who are interested in volunteering on your pro bono projects and
attending your legal events. We also put a library of news and resources at your fingertips.
But before you can take advantage of these features, you need to sign up!
Create an Account
To create an organization account on CorporateProBono.Org, click on the link "List Your Organization" in the Organizations menu. This will take you to a brief form. After completing the form, your organization record will be reviewed by site administrators, and activated within two business days.

Figure 1: Sign up your organization.
When you sign up your organization, you specify whether it is a "pro bono provider."
Pro bono providers are organizations that provide pro bono work to lawyers seeking
to volunteer. By signing up as a pro bono provider, you are advertising your
organization to volunteers seeking pro bono projects.
If you do not sign up as pro bono provider, your organization will still be able to post events to the CPBO Events Calendar, but your organization record will not show up when users search for pro bono projects.
Network Partners
Some organizations that post to this web site will be designated Network Partners. The organizations will have a special icon appear next to their listings, to designate to users that the organization meets the highest standards. To be eligible for this designation, an organization must meet certain prerequisites:
First, the organization must be either a 501(c)(3) non-profit or a law firm pro bono program. Second, the organization must provide pro bono volunteer training and support, pre-screening of cases, and other quality control mechanisms. The decision on whether the second prerequisite has been meet is made on a case-by-case basis upon a review of information that organizations have provided.
In addition to meeting the criteria described above, also have at least one of the following affiliations:
- Pro Bono Institute Law Firm Project Member Law Firm
- Pro Bono Institute "Reinventing Pro Bono" Public Interest Program
- Legal Services Corporation grantee
- National Legal Aid & Defender Association member
- American Bar Association Committee on Pro Bono and Public Service list of pro bono programs
- National Association for Public Interest Law Equal Justice Fellow or host program
- Power of Attorney network member
For Law Firms
All law firms that sign up on the site are listed on the page "Partner with a Law Firm." This helps law firms connect with other law firms and lawyers seeking to do pro bono work.
