For Volunteers: Projects
The most critical part of doing pro bono work is, of course, finding a worthy and well-run project to donate your time to. CorporateProBono.Org gives you three ways to find pro bono projects:
Volunteer for a Project
Click on the link "Volunteer for a Project" and you will be taken to the best starting point to find pro bono projects. At the top of this page, you will find a listing of organizations added to the site most recently. These organizations all provide pro bono work to corporate lawyers.

Further down this page is a search form. This form enables you to find organizations running pro bono projects based on geographic area, project type, and organization type. Additionally, you can run a keyword search.

Figure 2: The projects search form.
Run a project search and you will be returned a list of organizations that meet the criteria you have selected. These organizations all run pro bono projects, and are looking for lawyers like you to contribute! Click on the organization's name and you can view the organization's full information, which includes their mission statement as well as contact information.
Note that you can reorder your search results by clicking on the bold column headers. For example, click on "Location" and the search results will be reordered by location.

Partner with Law Firms
If you don't find the projects you are looking for with the search firm, you can take a look at the next link in the menu, "Partner with Law Firms." This page lists the contact information for a large number of law firms looking to partner with in-house lawyers and law departments on pro bono projects.
Learn About Team Projects
A limited number of projects are designated as "Team Projects," which means that you can sign up for these projects directly on this web site. To sign up for these projects, follow the menu link "Learn About Team Projects." This page describes the various team projects, and then all you have to do is click the "Sign up" links for the projects you want to join.
When you sign up for a team project, a couple of things occur. First of all, the organizations running the project are given your name, phone number, fax number, and email address so they can contact you with additional information about the project. Your name is also placed into a list of project members, so that when other users view that project record, they will see that you are contributing your time to it.
To sign up for a team project, you must be a registered MyCPBO user.
