Five New CPBO Challenge® Signatories

Corporate Pro Bono is excited to welcome five new legal departments to the list of nearly 150 Corporate Pro Bono Challenge® signatories. The following legal departments have demonstrated their commitment to pro bono by signing on to the CPBO Challenge® statement, thereby pledging to use their best efforts to encourage at least one-half of their legal staff to support and participate in pro bono service, as well as to encourage the outside law firms with which they work to become Signatories to the Law Firm Pro Bono Challenge®:

  • AMAZON.COM, INC.
  • The Brookings Institution
  • LinkedIn Corporation
  • National Rural Electric Cooperative Association (NRECA)
  • TCF Financial Corporation

CPBO Challenge® signatories receive information, guidance, and tailored support from CPBO to strengthen their existing pro bono programs or to start new ones. They are asked to respond to an annual survey, the results of which are published in the aggregate in theCPBO Challenge® Report.

CPBO will celebrate the pro bono achievements of Amazon, The Brookings Institution, LinkedIn, NRECA, TCF Financial, along with other CPBO Challenge® signatories at the 2016 PBI Annual Dinner in New York on November 3. The Dinner will be co-chaired by Michael Fricklas, Executive Vice President and Secretary atViacom Inc.**; Brad Smith, President and Chief Legal Officer at Microsoft Corporation**; and Laura Stein, Senior Vice President and General Counsel at The Clorox Company**.
