Wyeth Legal Department Receives Pro Bono Awards

The Wyeth Pro Bono Program recently received the International Law Office Global Counsel Pro Bono Award at a black tie dinner in New York City.  The award, presented with the support of the Association of Corporate Counsel, recognized Wyeth’s creation and launch of a pro bono program at three of Wyeth’s sites over the past year.

Wyeth has handled matters in a broad variety of areas such as domestic violence, SSI, immigration, trademark and corporate law for both individuals and not-for-profit organizations.

Wyeth’s Vice President, Chief Trademark & Copyright Counsel and Assistant General Counsel, Bret Parker, also received an Equal Justice Medal in May from Legal Services of New Jersey and the New Jersey State Bar Association for his work serving as Director of Wyeth’s program and for his pro bono work over the past year. Under his leadership, Wyeth has developed a pro bono policy, a pro bono committee, and a pro bono web page on their intranet. Wyeth also participates in pro bono partnerships with Legal Services of New Jersey and with Legal Aid of Southeastern Pennsylvania.
