Role of Public Interest Organizations

Planning the Clinic in a Box® Program – Legal Education is the responsibility of all of the host organizations – CPBO, the legal department or ACC chapter, the law firm, and the public interest organization – and includes selecting the topic of each educational program. In addition, the host public interest organization is responsible for recruiting the nonprofit organizations or small businesses.

CPBO provides form invitations and other materials to make this process run smoothly.

Public interest organizations may also provide malpractice insurance coverage to the in-house volunteers and follow up with the clients, as needed.
